Victory Day is an international holiday to celebrate the capitulation of Nazi Germany on May 9, 1945. Dr. Anastasia Pease, Lecturer in American Literature and a scholar of Russian, will present a talk about her own family’s memories about the events of World War II, and the significance of Hitler’s defeat.
The student-organized Victory Day event will also include an opportunity to meet several World War II veterans and to sample some authentic Russian food. Free and open to the entire Union community.
Sponsored by Union’s Russian and East European Culture Club.
