  • Adding Titles
  • Incorporating Photos
  • Trimming and Slip EditingIn the clip trimmer, you can click and drag the entire selection to change both ends at the same time while keeping the overall length of the clip the same. This is known as slip editing. Slip editing lets you choose an entirely different section of footage if you want, but it keeps the overall clip length exactly the same, and therefore it won’t throw off your timing.
  • Adding CutawaysYou may cut away to other shots (photos or videos) while the audio from the first shot keeps playing.
  • Using green-screen effectsYou may superimpose one clip over another using a green screen or blue screen.
  • Adding a Voiceover – In addition to letting you adjust and add pre-recorded audio files, iMovie gives you the ability to record your own voice-over narration to your movies live while watching the movie.
