Meeting Summary 18SEP2015

During this weeks meeting, my advisor and I reviewed progress made during the past week and looked ahead. First, we discussed this website. Overall, it seemed fine, but we determined that my daily log should contain more detail. Next, I explained how I could not find the modifiable Nordic code, which Professor Spinelli promptly found for me. The code may prove to be useful should I use an app as a display mechanism, since it can be simplified to only display a number. Next, I brought up the app-writing software I came across: Phonegap. I need to find out whether or not it works for the specific Nordic bluetooth chip I will be using (whatever that may be). We moved on to discussing what will happen in the next few weeks. Professor Spinelli gave me a femptoduino board which I will use to start gathering data and messing around with. During the tests, I need to be incredibly detailed, including date, time and exact components and programs used during the test. After downloading the Arduino leonardo software, I will need to keep an already working program untouched to use in case any program I write based off of the already-existing program breaks. I can get the software and several libraries from the femtoduino website as I will implement those as well. Next we discussed ordering parts. I will need to know exactly what to do with each component before it arrives, so that I can use it and know how to use it as soon as it shows up. Next, the SRG proposal needs to be completed soon. I will be including both the Femptoduino and the MetaWear chip in that proposal, which will be complete this upcoming week.
