Indoor Testing Results

An indoor miniature parking lot was implemented in order to easily test the system, which can be seen below in Figure 12. This indoor testing environment was built using tape to represent the parking spots, a table and box to hold the Raspberry Pi and camera in place over the spots, and two remote control cars representing vehicles parking. Throughout testing, the system was started and initialized so that each spot was empty. Once done, the remote controlled cars are parked at random times in different locations each time. The implemented software included some code used to record the images of a specific spot when motion is detected. Along with recording images, all average pixel values and motion arrays for each parking spot is manually recorded.
