Perkin-Elmer Lambda 900 Spectrophotometer

The spectophotometer is used to perform light transmission and absorption measurements of aergoels and xerogels.  Aerogels and xerogels with small diameters are placed in cuvettes and placed into the instrument.  A lights source is exposed to the aerogel or xerogel and a detector on the other side measures the transmittance of the light.
