Mission

The mission of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) chapter at Union College is to build and promote the biomedical engineering profession through study, research, discussion of the fields of engineering, and dissemination of knowledge thereby gained. The chapter extends student interaction with biomedical applications of engineering beyond the classroom and supports communication and networking on local and national levels through community outreach as well as preparation for student careers in research and development, medicine, and business. BMES shall promote membership by acquainting the student body with the ideas, purposes, and objectives of the international society.
