If you enjoy talking about the armies of Caesar, ancient science and medicine, pagan sacrifice, Greek and Roman love poetry or the origins of law, we’re the club for you.
The Classics Club is open to all students interested in any aspect of the ancient world, whether or not they are enrolled in Greek and Latin courses or in the Ancient Sequence of the General Education program. The Club hosts talks by visiting scholars and organizes trips to New York and Boston to visit museums or see plays on classical themes. The Club also sponsors social events for students and faculty, including the annual spring-term Classics department picnic.
We are always on the lookout for innovative projects — plus people with the creativity and enthusiasm to dream up new ideas.
If you are interested in joining the club or would like to be on our mailing list, please email our Classics Club Advisors, Professors Angela Commito at firstname.lastname@example.org
