Namaste!
My name is Davis Cutter and I am an 8th generation Union College Minerva Fellow. I graduated from Union in the spring of 2015 and am now working as a Minerva Fellow in India. I will be returning to Union in May 2016 where I will help teach a Social Entrepreneurship class and share my knowledge and experiences with students and faculty. Originally I am from Needham, Massachusetts, USA.
I’m working in Bagru, India, which is in the province of Rajasthan. To give you a perspective, the state of Rajasthan is almost the size of Montana. The capital of Rajasthan is Jaipur, home to 3.4 million people (and I bet you’ve never heard of it!)
Bagru is 30km from Jaipur – about a 45 minute drive. Jaipur is known as the “pink city” and is very colorful.
The ultimate goal of my work, and the Minerva Fellowship itself, is to give the business back to “the people.” See the Minerva Fellows Mantra to get a better understanding of the ideology the Minerva Fellows program is founded on.
Feel free to email me at cutterd@union.edu at any time.
