Poetry Reading with Union Student Poets and Prof. BK Tuon

Schenectady’s Arthur’s Market Poetry series is excited to present their February event at the historic Kelly Adirondack Center, 897 St. David’s Lane, conveniently located off route 7 in Niskayuna, NY. In addition to our usual open mic, we’ll feature two outstanding student poets from Union College along with their professor, Bunkong “BK”) Tuon.
* KATIE CASADO is a senior double major in English and Political Science at Union College. She is a native New Yorker of Dominican descent and is passionate about social justice, chicken nuggets, and the Oxford Comma.
* NICK SOLURI is an English Major at Union College, and has appeared in many literary magazines throughout the country. He lives in North Carolina.
* BUNKONG TUON is an Associate Professor of English and Director of the Asian Studies Program at Union College. His poetry has appeared in many journals and he’s the author of two poetry collections, Gruel (2015) and And So I Was Blessed (2017), both published by NYQ Books.

TIME: Doors open for the open mic signup at 7pm. Readings begin at 7:30. Park in the lot or the driveway. Entrance is through the gray building behind the stone house.DATE: Wednesday, February 13
