Soil characteristics and tick survival

My students and I have been investigating the impacts of several soil characteristics on the survival of engorged black-legged tick larvae and nymphs.  Colleen Cook and Daniel Rice tested soil pH and Katherine Christopher and Kate Kurchena manipulated leaf litter and predators.
