COVID-19 Updates

In-person visits to the galleries, and use of the Permanent Collection, is currently limited to the campus community until further notice, due to campus-wide safety measures.

The Mandeville Gallery and Wikoff Student Gallery will be open via card swipe to the Union College campus community – current on-campus faculty, staff, and students only: Monday – Sunday: 9 am – 5pm

The Castrucci Gallery at Wold Center and the Art Installation Series at Schaffer Library are also open during regular building hours to current on-campus faculty, staff, and students.

For members of public and campus community, stay in touch with us as we host virtual events with exhibiting artists and our Mandeville Gallery student docents during the academic year! Please check our events page for more information. To stay up to date on all of our activities, be sure to also check out our Instagram and Facebook accounts to view exhibition and collection highlights.

The Permanent Collection will continue to support the Union College campus community this year and can be accessed by prior appointment only. A Zoom consultation with a staff member is required three business days in advance of scheduling an appointment to view collection artworks. The availability of artworks for examination is based upon the size, condition, and current location of the item.

Additionally, the Permanent Collection is now available online through our web portal and artworks installed on campus can be viewed through an interactive map! Our newly created, searchable web portal features remote access to the College’s art collection, which includes over 3,000 significant cultural resources. Our web portal currently displays only a limited selection from the Collection, but we are in the process of adding more artworks all the time! Click here to browse the current online collection.

The web portal includes an interactive map of Union College, displaying select Permanent Collection artworks installed on campus. Featured with each of these items is a written interpretation of the artworks provided by Mallory Schultz, Art Collections & Exhibitions Fellow, 2019/20.
