The University of Rochester Math Olympiad is a 3 hour mathematics exam taken by college students around the northeast. The exam consists of 4 problems that are relatively easy to state and understand, but difficult (and fun!) to solve. Students may participate right here at Union.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the competition, there will be an **organizational meeting / practice session next Wednesday, January 28th, 5:15 – 6:30 in Bailey Hall 102** (we’ll schedule another practice session the following week as well). If you would like a copy of the problems we’ll be looking at over the next two weeks, please e-mail Prof. Zimmermann.
