Recent gifts to the College, both outright and deferred, include:

  • M. William Munno '70 completed a $25,000 commitment to establish the M. William Munno '70 Endowed Scholarship, with first priority going to students from W.C. Mepham High School in Bellmore, N.Y. 
  • A second anonymous gift of $25,000 was added to the Roland D. Ciaranello '65, M.D., Endowed Scholarship. 
  • More than $7,500 was received from numerous friends and colleagues as memorial gifts for David S. Kaplan '82 and more than $5,000 as “in memoriam” gifts for Joseph
    Jacobs '31. 
  • Gifts for charitable remainder unitrusts totaled $304,427, with Donald H.G. Mackenzie '34, Barbara and Joseph M. Hinchey '47, and Molly and Andre Donikian '65 participating. The Hinchey gift will ultimately benefit the Schaffer Library renovation project. 
  • Contributions
    to charitable gift annuities totaled $153,595, with Norman N. Bergen '43, Daniel R. Conlon '35, and Karen Singer Miller '79 participating. The Conlon gift will ultimately benefit the Chemistry Department and the Miller gift supports the Kresge Foundation Challenge Grant for the library project. 
  • Gifts for pooled life income funds totaled $38,367, with Leonard C. Humphrey '47, Morris Marshall Cohn '24, D. Vincent Cerrito '32, and William J. Male '38 participating. 
  • Distributions from two trusts whose beneficiaries are now deceased added $443,210 for scholarships. A distribution of $251,060 from the Eugene
    Hellmich '23 Trust will help math students, and $192,150 from the Marshall W. Quandt '33 Trust will be added to the scholarship he established during his lifetime to help students from his hometown area.
