Rudy Nydegger, associate
professor of psychology, had an article published in the New York
Psychological Association Notebook
(the journal of the association)
titled “Mandatory Continuing Education: Thoughts and
Suggestions.”

Pilar Moyano, associate
professor of Spanish, has published a chapter titled “Primera
poesía de Gioconda Belli: consideraciones restrospectivas sobre la
corporeidad del discurso”
in Visiones y revisiones de la
literature centroamericana
(Editorial Oscar de León Palacios 2000).
She also delivered a paper, “La recuperación del mundo maya-quiche
en la obra de Humberto Ak'abal,”
at the VIII International
Conference on Central American Literature, Universidad de San Carlos,
Antigua, Guatemala.

Tim Olsen, assistant professor
of performing arts, is the composer of Anagrams, a chamber work
which has received recent performances at the University of South Carolina
at Columbia, the University of Georgia at Athens, and at Valdosta
(Georgia) State University. Also, Olsen is to present an organ recital on
Sunday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of All Saints on Swan
Street in Albany. The program will include works by British and German
masters, as well as improvisations on Lenten themes.
