She then posted five goals in a 13-6 victory over Nazareth, and added three scores and an assist in an 8-6 loss to Rensselaer in the Liberty League opener. Her 11 goals and one assist on the week give her career totals of 174 goals, 55 assists and 229 points, and she broke the career point record that was held by Nina Mandel '03 (219 career points). Flanagan and the women's lacrosse squad host Middlebury, the defending NCAA Division III national champions, Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Frank Bailey Field (the game was originally slated for 4 p.m.).

During the baseball team's opening week of play in Florida, Scott Carroll was solid in the field and at the plate. The freshman at the hot corner started seven of eight games and hit .596 (7 for 12) while not making an error in 10 chances. Carroll and the Dutchmen hit the diamond again on Wednesday at William Paterson, and are scheduled to open the home season Thursday against the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at 3 p.m. at Central Park.

Welcome home, Abby, Jackie, Molly and Scott, and congratulations on your honors!
