(Common Hour Tuesday, October 8th in Olin 106: Lunch Provided)

Are you interested in more effectively affecting your students’ lives both in and out of the classroom?  Come hear about a unique opportunity to transform your teaching through a Nichols Fellowship.    Past and Present Nichols Fellows Steve Schmidt (economics), Carol Weisse (psychology), Ashaf Ghaly (engineering), and Jillmarie Murphy (English) will share the projects and products they produced during their two to three year fellowships.

The Byron A. Nichols Fellowship for Faculty Development provides substantial support for faculty members who are committed to broadening their teaching and mentoring skills by undertaking activities that contribute to the intellectual, social, and personal development of students. Consideration for the fellowship is given to recently promoted associate professors who demonstrate a commitment to Union’s academic community, to developing students, and to fostering positive change within the College.  An advisory committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Dean of the Faculty who makes the final selection.
