UFN Finance Bootcamp

The Wall Street Leadership Academy was formed to provide high performing Union College students the necessary preparation and mentorship to be competitive for internships and job opportunities in financial services. As an extension of the Garnet Group, the Academy courses and excursions will be designed and taught by students. Students of all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The Academy is aiming for an average class size of 20 students every year.

For the Class of 2018, we had over 40 applications with an average cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0.  Applications are now open for the Wall Street Leadership Academy Class of 2019.

Preparation & Education

The Wall Street Leadership Academy will feature a wide array of courses covering networking, resumes and cover letters, market analysis, and interview preparation. Classes will be held weekly at Union College’s Becker Career Center. At the conclusion of the program, we will be taking the participants down to New York City for an exclusive networking event with Union College alumni across several bulge bracket investment banks.

Mentorship

The Wall Street Leadership Academy will also provide each student with a junior or senior mentor that have secured internships or full-time employment. Mentors will help guide the students across the internship application process and beyond. Current mentors have secured opportunities at Citi, Deutsche Bank, PwC, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Nomura, Goldman Sachs, Vanguard and William Blair.
