Fire Safety


Union College is a member of the Center for Campus Fire Safety, which is a non profit organization that provides fire safety training and information to College Campuses across the United States. We are also a member of the National Fire Protection Association, which is a national organization that sets the standards for fire safety codes across North America. Union College also employees an alarm systems technician. The technician works closely with EHS and Campus Safety, to resolve and repair problems with fire and security systems on campus. EHS plays a vital role in the management of all fire and life safety systems on campus. EHS oversees the repair, replacement and inspection/testing of all fire alarm and sprinkler systems. EHS works closely with student groups and organizations to ensure fire safety is part of their group’s criteria.
