Museum #4

At first I wasn’t even sure whether I was up to go to another memorial of Jewish culture in Germany. Even though I had done research on the building, the purpose, and the architect I did not feel ready for what the building had to offer. It was a great surprise to me how much one could feel from being close to that building. It was at that...

***Note: As it wasn’t permitted to use photography within the museum, I took quite a few photos Hamburg and I will present them here so you can get an understanding of how the city looked.**** For my second museum journal I will talk about the Hamburg history museum. The extensiveness and shear length of the self guided tour was quite long. I spent over five hours inside of the museum learning all that I can about Hamburg’s history. Beginning shortly before the middle ages Hamburg was a very small city back then. In fact, it...

For this museum journal entry I shall talk about my experience at the ZKM Museum in Karlsruhe. On the day of the journey we all gathered together to take the train to Karlsruhe. On the train Lukas, the leader of this excursion, gave us all pamphlets of the day so that we all remain on schedule. I instantly thought how this was going to be a very different museum than I had anticipated. When we arrived at the museum we were greeted by a two works of art: a mangled, organized mess of metal and a wooden record player. They were massive and very...
