This time our word is going to be a little more renown and unique I think. Not many words in the German language have the letter “Q” in it. However, I always seem to remember the ones which do indeed have them. The word is pendeln. This word is interesting as it sort of has a double meaning, both of which are quite useful. I stumbled across this word whilst reading an article for class at Goethe Freiburg. We were talking about people who must commute from one city to another city, and most of the time stay in their “working” city between Monday and Friday and only see their family on the weekend. Wir sind jetzt nach München gefahren. Meine Zeit im Freiburg war sehr gut. An den Deutschunterricht werde ich mich immer erinnen. Freiburg is eine schöne Stadt und eine kleine Stadt, aber ich denke, dass mir Freiburg deshalb so gut gefällt. Meine Lieblingsort war der Münsterplatz. Here we are! Upon arriving in Germany I was very confused about essentially everything I came into contact with. I hadn’t even realized I was in another country until I began reading the bus schedule. I had to discern between where and when the bus would arrive and it thoroughly baffled me.
