About Samantha Griffiths

I am a senior studying Electrical Engineering and English at Union College in Schenectady, NY. Previously, I graduated as Salutatorian of Stillwater High School Class of 2011. I grew up in Stillwater, NY with my parents and younger sister who is now studying Nutrition at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. After graduation I will be taking a job with Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories in Niskayuna as an entry level electrical engineer.

In my free time on campus, I continue playing the alto saxophone (which I have done for 13 years) in the Jazz Ensemble and Pep Band. I am also a member of the Union College Robotics Crew and Ballroom Dance Club.

At home, I continue to train in Tae Kwon Do which I have enjoyed for almost 16 years. I earned my 4th degree black belt and title of Master Griffiths in October of 2011 shortly after coming to Union College. I have had the opportunity to share my passion with the college community twice, most recently as part of Sexual Assault Awareness week at the end of September. I have also taught Tae Kwon Do at the Stillwater Area Community Center’s summer camp where I have worked as a counselor for the past 3 years.
