Provisions, the faculty-led development series dedicated to exploring, publicizing, and disseminating innovative teaching and learning across the disciplines, invites proposals for a 1.5
hour workshop related to the idea of “doing better” in your classroom or work with students on campus. Workshops can have 1 – 3 facilitators and should tackle an idea you are
considering/developing or a problem with which you’ve been grappling related to classroom/community dynamics, as well as address the strategies and approaches which you
have or will use to improve upon your work. Your proposal should include a group activity that gets participants actively involved in your ideas—either in brainstorming improvements or in
trying out what you’ve already done (or both!). Finally, the group should plan to come back together to discuss what they’ve learned. We are also open to other workshop formats (wicked
problems, for example)—the more creative, the better! Please also plan to have something participants can take away with them: a list of references or resources, a copy of slides you
presented, an assignment you’re using, etc.

Topics might include
• First-year experience
• Cultural competence/inclusivity/anti-racism work
• The College’s mission
• Student success

• Working with first generation college students
