Biography
Dr. Yijing Yin Stehle joined the Mechanical Engineering Department at Union College as an assistant professor in August 2019. She also serves as co-director of interdisciplinary programs in nanotechnology since 2020. Dr. Stehle received a BS degree at Lanzhou University and a MS degree at Fudan University in China, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at University of Miami. Prior to joining the Union College, Dr. Stehle worked as a assistant professor at Sichuan University Pittsburgh institute, postdoctoral research associate at the Oak Ridge National Lab and University of Florida, she also serves senior research scientist at Bluestone Global Tech. Dr. Stehle leads the 2D Laboratory at Union College. Her research interests focus on explore the application of two dimensional materials in HVAC, sensing, energy storage, filtration, and corrosion prevention.
