Course Description and Objective
This course introduces you to classical and contemporary social theories. You will investigate how sociologists and social sciences generally have created their theoretical vantage points. It is your charge to take ownership of these theories. We will not be able to cover the whole canon of sociological thought but we will spend some time understanding the major discourses of the field. Your constant participation is crucial to the success of the course.
