During Week 8, Professor Dosiek and I decided that there needed to be some type of machine that shook the linear generator at a constant rate. The machine needed to replicate the motion of skating. Professor Dosiek suggested something similar to an old steam trains wheels. The linkages that made the wheels move could possibly be used. There was also another suggestion to use a bike wheel. I did some research on what the machine should be. I found a great youtube link that models the motion perfectly.
