Half a Year: Time Gone By

I am a Chemistry and Visual Arts double major at Union College. These photographs emerge from the artistic side of my brain rather than the scientific, but not exclusively. With my camera I fill the void left behind while thinking scientifically.

These images were taken half a year ago, during the winter of 2007 – 2008, when going outside did not simply involve walking out the door. Viewing images of ideas and thoughts I had during the winter months in the summer puts a different perspective on the current environment to which I have become acclimated. I do not keep journals, I do not have the patience for it, but my images have become my way of keeping time.
