Union College 2009 Senior Invitational
2009 marks the second year of the Union College Senior Invitational, a group show of work by the most accomplished and talented graduating artists of Union College. The show is not only open to art majors, but to all seniors who have studied art at Union. The artists are required to go through an application process and each must have a studio visit. Only the very best artists are invited to exhibit. Our goal is to introduce students to the real-world exhibition process, and to mirror the rigors and requirements which confront professional artists. The exhibition also presents several prize opportunities as well, with a Union College Permanent Collection Purchase Prize, a Judith Gardner Ainlay Prize, and two Curator’s Choice Prizes to be awarded.
The Union College Senior Invitational is a wonderful opportunity for these artists to exhibit a selection of their best undergraduate work, and for them, their friends, family, and professors to see the culmination of their artistic endeavors in a professional gallery setting. We are extremely pleased to present the work of fifteen outstanding seniors, work which includes paintings, photography, prints, sculpture, video, and installation art.
The artists include: Michael Bono, Justin Blau, Ian Brennan, Megan Chiriani, Katharine Cissel, Kelly Craparotta, Catherine Davis, Eleanor Hazlett, Alexandra Lindsay, Tobias Leeger, Brandon McArdle, Sarah Mueller, Emmaline Payette, Sarah Scott, and Megan Sesil.
