The growth of the College's endowment in recent years is due, in part, to an increased level of endowment gift activity among alumni, parents, and friends. These gifts, combined with the endowment's current yield and appreciation, improve Union's ability to maintain a top-notch faculty and enhance academic programs. “To complete the Bicentennial Campaign, the College seeks additional gifts to endowment of about $16 million dollars,” says Deb Balliet, director of development. “Endowment support is needed for scholarships, terms abroad, professorships, and for scientific and computer equipment.”
