Union College and the community will commemorate Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Day of Remembrance, on Thursday, April 23, at 8 p.m. in Memorial Chapel at Union College.

Day of Remembrance services will memorialize the six million innocent victims of Hitler's genocide. A candlelight vigil led by Hillel (the Union College Jewish student organization) will take place before the service on the steps of Memorial Chapel. Remarks by Union professor Stephen Berk, an authority on the Holocaust, will follow.

The event concludes Lessons for Humanity, a series of Holocaust remembrance events at Union College. It is free and open to the public.
