Community service activities among Union's 25 intercollegiate athletic teams has been a tradition that has seen the College's student-athletes and coaching staffs take part in a variety of functions over the years. Last month the Skating
Dutchmen took part in the Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes. The 5K
walk, which was held in Albany, New York, was co-sponsored by the
General Electric Company. Head coach Kevin Sneddon, his staff and
his players will also participate in a “Skate To Cure Cancer”
later this year. Two years ago the event raised $3,500 for the
American Cancer Society.
