Junior forward Jeff Wilson (London,Ont./A.B. Lucas School) was named the CCM/ECAC “Player of the Week” after scoring two goals in Union's 4-2 victory over Rensselaer last Saturday. Wilson becomes the third Skating Dutchman to be recognized by the league.

The victory was the third in four overall games for the Dutchmen, who are celebrating their 10th season as a Division I team. The game was the ECAC league opener for both Union and Rensselaer.

Wilson, who came into the campaign with 16 goals in 59 career games, gave Union a 1-0 lead at 13:29 of the first period before scoring what proved to be the game-winner at 4:24 of the third. Both goals came while the Dutchmen were on the powerplay (the Garnet converted four of eight powerplay opportunities while holding the Engineers to a one-for-nine in extra man advantages…including 0–for-three while RPI was skating with a two-man advantage.

Junior goaltender Brandon Snee (Philadelphia, PA/Hill School), who was named to the ECAC honor roll for his 35-save performance against RPI, was the CCM/ECAC “Goaltender of the Week” as he sparked a 4-1 win over Army in Week ! and junior defenseman Charles Simard (Aylmer, Quebec/Kindersley Composite) was the CCM/ECAC “Player of the Week” after leading the Dutchmen to a 4-2 victory over Merrimack in Week 2.
