Vera Schwarcz on “The Garden of History: Art and Atrocity in One Corner of China.” Schwarcz is the Freeman Professor of East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University. The author of seven books and over 50 articles, she is best known for her recent studies on the parallels between Chinese and Jewish cultural memories. Part of the Perspectives at the Nott series.
