Recent gifts to the College include:

Unrestricted bequests were received from the estates of John A. Tiedeman '26 and Paul Davis '27.

A partial distribution was received from the estate of Frederick D. Zollner '31, to benefit the Civil Engineering Department.

In memory of his wife, Theodore R. Sadock '33 created the Katharine Van Meter Sadock Fund to support Women's Studies at Union. Kitty (as she was generally known) was the first woman to represent Union at a presidential inauguration, when she filled in for her suddenly-ill husband in 1968. She was well-known in Albuquerque, N.M., art circles and was a life-long mentor for women artists.

Alfred F.H. Bischoff '35 made a gift that created the Alfred F. H. Bischoff '35 Endowed Scholarship, with preference given to electrical engineering majors.

William Waldron '35 made an addition to his participation in the Campaign for Union Pooled Life Income Fund. The ultimate purpose is the Charles Newman Waldron and Dorothy Waterman Waldron Memorial Fund.

An unrestricted gift was received from the estate Robert E. Groundwater '43.

Francis J. Jankowski '43 made an additional gift to his participation in the Campaign for Union Pooled Life Income Fund. This gift will ultimately be unrestricted.

A distribution from the charitable gift annuity that was established by the late Chester T. Marvin '45 was received for the benefit the Schaffer Library.

Frank W. Swacker '47 established a charitable gift annuity.

Ralph H. '50 and Ruth P. Petrucci made a gift by establishing a charitable gift annuity. Ultimately, the funds will be used to create the Joseph I. and Virginia M. Petrucci Memorial Endowment.

Ronald Q. Jennett '52 funded a charitable gift annuity, eventually to be used to establish the Ronald Quentin Jennett (1952) and Margaret Anne Jennett Scholarship Fund. Recipients will be chosen first from Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties in New York State and the Tarrant County area of Texas.

Scott Muirhead '68, Ph.D, and his siblings established the William Muirhead '39 and Barbara Jean Boutelle Muirhead Scholarship. Preference will be given to an engineering student from one of several specified high schools.

Robin J. Scheman '84 made a gift to establish the Jessie Scheman & Lillian Rosen Memorial Scholarship Fund. Preference will be given to students majoring in economics.

A trust established by the late Edward M. Dickson made an unrestricted distribution to the College. Edward Dickson was the father of Carl B. Dickson '90.

Virginia Fisher established a charitable gift annuity in memory of her husband, a member of the class of 1952. The ultimate purpose will be the John H. Fisher, Jr., and Virginia M. Fisher Endowed Scholarship Fund.

The Herbert O. Fox '39 and Jean M. Fox Endowed Scholarship was established through a gift by Jean Fox in memory of her husband, who passed away earlier this year. Herb Fox was the son of former Union President Dixon Ryan Fox. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are focusing their studies on United States history.

Joyce Laudise made a gift in memory of her husband, Robert A. Laudise '52. This gift was divided between the Laudise Endowed Scholarship and the Laudise Summer Research Fellowship in Chemistry.
