The College's Chemistry Club has been recognized as a “Commendable Student Affiliates Chapter” of the American Chemical Society, based on its 1999-2000 activities.
This is the second-highest recognition level, attained by only fifty-eight colleges nationwide. This marks the seventh consecutive year the club has been recognized at the outstanding or commendable level. Officers for the year were Julia Barkin '00, president; Richard Fox '00 and Sofia Mazo '01, vice presidents; Jason Shames '01 and Scott Dicks '01, treasurers; and Anna Kertser '02, secretary.
