Union sent 40 students — one of the largest contingents _ to the 2001 National Conference on Undergraduate Research at the University of Kentucky at Lexington, last month.

“This was an excellent opportunity for our students to share their independent scholarship and creative achievement before an audience of outstanding peers and faculty,” said Prof. Tom Werner, former chair of the NCUR board of governors.

Since the inaugural NCUR in 1987, Union has consistently had one of the largest contingents at the annual event. The College has twice hosted NCUR.
