Freshman third baseman Jim Griglun (Southington, CT/Southington) turned in an unassisted double play in the first game against Rensselaer last Saturday. He started the gem by robbing the batter of a base hit, ran down the runner looking to return to second base then, after the tag, ran down the runner from first who was trying to advance during the initial rundown. Griglun, who went into the game batting .389 with 14 rbis, hit his second home run of the year, a three-run shot, in the top of the seventh in an 8-7 loss.
