The minutes of the May 14, 2001 AAC meeting were approved.

The AAC continued a discussion of the second Scholars Program. The committee accepted the revisions of the Seward Interdisciplinary Fellows program and recommends that the faculty approve this program.

The committee discussed the policy on student appeals of grades. The grade change policy was approved by the AAC pending approval by the college attorney. It will then go the faculty for a vote.

The AAC discussed the large number of incompletes currently outstanding. There was a consensus that the existing policy for Incompletes should be enforced. This topic will be discussed at a future faculty meeting.

The AAC approved the following courses:
SOC 76 – African-American Women: Unheard Voices and Contemporary Lifestyles
SOC 75 – African-Americans in Contemporary Society

The committee discussed the charge to the “Reallocation of Resources” subcouncil.
