Jordan Webb (Nepean, Ontario) led the Dutchmen with three
points in Saturday's win (1-2-3). Webb is first among his
teammates with ECAC points (5-5-10) and is second overall
(12-11-23). His power play goal was the sixth of the season
for the winger, which also leads the Dutchmen and ended a
113:12 second scoreless draught for Union.
Kris Mayotte (Finleyville, Pennsylvania) turned away 15 of
16 Colgate shots on Saturday, earning his first win in six starts.
Mayotte's record is now at .500 in conference games (3-3-1)
and is one game over .500 overall with a 6-5-1 record. He
also held Cornell scoreless (8 saves) in the third period on
Friday night in relief of Tim Roth. Mayotte's 2.72 GAA and
.913 sv% leads the team.
Nathan Gillies (Cambridge, Ontario) took home two goals
on Saturday and is now in a tie for second on the team with
goals scored (10). Gillies scored Union's third goal on a
breakaway and capped the scoring with just 1.7 seconds left
in regulation with an empty-netter. His 20 points overall is
good enough for third on the team while his nine ECAC points
puts him in a tie for second. Saturday's goals broke a fourgame
scoreless streak for Gillies.
Joel Beal (Brantford, Ontario) had his team-leading eighth
multiple-point game on Saturday, assisting on two goals. Beal
leads the Dutchmen with assists (20) and points (26), and is
in a tie for second in ECAC scoring (3-6-9). He averages
1.13 points/gm.
Glenn Sanders (Saugus, Massachusetts) tallied Union's
gamewinner on Saturday, the first of his career. Sanders' goal
was his second of the season, both coming in the last four
games. The junior center has five points overall.
The A.J. Palkovich – Glenn Sanders – Max Seel line recorded
three points on Saturday, and more importantly was matched
up with Colgate's top line of Scooter Smith – Kyle Doyle –
Adam Mitchell. That line was kept scoreless in the game.
