Union and Dartmouth each picked up sweeps on the road over the
week end, vaulting the two teams into third and forth place respectively.

Nathan Gillies helped lead the Dutchmen to two victories in North
Country with three goals and two assists. Both of his assists came on
game winning goals.Union downed Clarkson, 5-3, on Friday night behind two
goals, including the game-winner, and an assist from Kris Goodjohn. Joel Beal
scored the game-winner with 52.4 seconds left in overtime in Saturday night's
4-3 win against St.Lawrence. The Dutchmen will host sixth-place Brown in a
key match up on Friday.

Hugh Jessiman continued his impressive rookie campaign by tallying
two goals and three assists in Dartmouth's wins over Princeton and Yale.
Jessiman assisted on Trevor Byrne's game-winning goal on Friday against
Princeton. AgainstYale, Jessiman scored what would prove to be the
game winner, as well as the game's final goal, midway through the second
period to break a 3-3 tie. With the sweep, the Big Green move into a fourth
place tie with the Bulldogs.

Colgate produced the biggest upset of the week by knocking off No. 4
Cornell,2-1, in overtime Thursday night. Adam Mitchell's goal in overtime
was originally waived off by the referee, claiming the net was dislodged, but
it was reversed upon conferring with the linesman. Raider netminder Steve
Silverthorn gave up an early goal to Shane Hynes but kept the Big Red off the
score sheet for the final58:12.

The Big Red extracted a bit of revenge at home Saturday night,
downing their travel partner 3-1. Hynes added two assists to his weekend
total whileSilverthorn made 26 saves for the Raiders in the loss.

No. 13 Harvard came back from its 20-day exam break by defeating
Brown,3-1, at the Bright Center Friday night. Brown goaltender Yann Danis
was forced to make 49 saves, keeping the Bears alive until a late empty-net
goal. Tim Pettit had a goal and an assist while Dov Grumet-Morris made 32
stops for Harvard.

The Crimson will take on No. 12/14 Boston University in the semifinals
of the 51st annual Beanpot on Monday. Boston University defeated Harvard,
3-0,earlier in the season at Walter Brown Arena in a game that featured
spectacular goaltending on both ends of the ice. The winner will square off
with the winner of the second semifinal, Boston College vs. Northeastern,
next Monday.

Brown lost to Providence, 3-1, Tuesday night at the 17th annual
Mayor'sCup.

The Friars scored all three goals in the third period (including an empty net
tally with 33 seconds left). Scott Ford scored the lone goal for the Bears
while Danismade 25 saves.

In other action, Clarkson and St. Lawrence were able to earn splits by
defeatingRensselaer. The Saints used three third-period goals to down the
Engineers, 4-2, Friday night. Rich Peverly was involved in all four goals,
assisting on the first three and scoring an empty-net goal with 9 seconds
remaining.Clarkson exploded against RPI Saturday night with a balanced
attack leading to a 7-1 victory. Mac Faulkner scored his first two goals of
the season while five other Knights added a goal. All seven Knight goals were
scored in the first two periods. Chris Hussy added a late consolation goal
for RPI who lost their sixth straight game.

Yale and Vermont each earned splits as well. The Bulldogs defeated the Cats,
6-2,Friday night behind two goals and two assists from Evan Wax. The senior
forward leads the conference with 17 goals overall.Vermont bounced back
to defeat Princeton, 5-3, on Saturday night. Five different Catamounts
recorded a goal in the win.
