William Thomas, director of International Programs and professor of French, has been named an honorary fellow of York (England) St. John College in recognition of his “outstanding services to education and international understanding.” Thomas, cited for his role in directing the exchange between Union and York, is to be conferred with the honor in November at a graduation ceremony in York Minster. Thomas has overseen the exchange with York since it began in 1982. The College added a term abroad program at York in 1990.
