Schenectady, N.Y. (May 27, 2003) – Student interest rates are set to plunge.


The federal government is resetting the variable interest rate for federal college student loans — an annual process.


Analysts expect the final terms to plunge nearly 7 percentage points.


Beth Post, the director of financial aid at Union College, stopped by the Capital News 9 studio to talk more about the rates.
