Paul Rose, visiting assistant professor of
psychology, is co-author (with K. Campbell of the University of Georgia) of a
book chapter, “Greatness feels good: A telic model of narcissism and subjective
well-being” to appear in the forthcoming Advances
in Psychology Research, edited by Frank Columbus (Nova Science Publishers,
Inc. Hauppauge, N.Y.)
“In spite of speculations to the contrary, a variety of research evidence has
accumulated suggesting that narcissists are satisfied with their lives,” the
authors write in the abstract. “In this paper, we review evidence in support of
this unpopular position, and we explain some of the reasons why narcissism is
positively correlated with happiness.”
