Sophomore soccer goaltender Julie Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY) and senior football placekicker Cliff Eisenhut (Mohawk, NY) joined the growing list of Union student-athletes who have been recognized by the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association for their outstanding performances. In the first two weeks of the season, junior football tailback Chris Nappi (Scotia, NY), senior soccer forward Corinne Hennessy (Mahopac, NY) and sophomore soccer forward Erika Eisenhut (Mohawk, NY) all captured weekly conference awards for their individual performances.

Now in its eighth year as a conference, the UCAA introduced, for the first time, an all encompassing web site. The conference's sports information directors have teamed with Tim Danehy to put together an informative and easy to navigate site. Besides a daily up-do-date scoreboard for every sport, the site contains photos, statistics, standings and links to each of the member schools. Each week players from the 10 member schools nominate players who have produced solid performances during the previous week's contests. The “best of the best” are then selected as “Players of the Week” and are eligible to contend for the weekly ECAC “Player of the Week” awards.

As each of the three seasons nears its conclusion, student-athletes from each of the member schools are nominated for All-Conference honors as well as for the circuit's All-Academic team.

While all of this has been going on for the past seven seasons, this year and for years to come the UCAA web site will provide interested parties with a quick and easy access.
