The Dutchwomen hockey team won't be the only skating squad to make history for Union on Saturday. Dutchman mentor Nate Leaman makes his coaching debut as his squad opens the 2003-04 campaign at Niagara University. Joel Beal, Jordan Webb, Glenn Sanders, Kris Mayotte and the rest of the squad have their sites focused on an exciting season that begins on October 11 at 7 p.m.

The men and women's team enjoyed a great turnout from the Capital District media on Thursday, October 2 at the annual hockey media day. The Dutchwomen and Dutchmen teams, with coaches Fred Quistgard and Nate Leaman, respectively, were introduced to the media for the first time this year. All five area television stations and two of the three daily newspapers turned out.
