Two members of the Union women's
soccer team – junior forward Brittany Cressman and senior midfielder and
forward Stephanie Molé – have been named National Soccer Coaches Athletics
Association (NSCAA/ADIDAS) All-Americans.
Cressman a sociology major from Duxbury, Mass.,
was named to the second team. Mol, an economics major from Newton, Mass., was named to the third team.
Cressman led the team in points at 50 (16 goals and 18 assists). Molé, playing in midfield, totaled 12 points (4 goals and four assists).
Both players also were named to
the first team NSCAA/ADIDAS All-Region. Erika Eisenhut, a sophomore forward
from Mohawk, N.Y., was named to the second team NSCAA/ADIDAS All-Region.
“I am thrilled for Stephanie for she is a senior and this is her final opportunity,” said Coach Brian Speck. “She is certainly one of the best ever to come through this program. Brittany had a wonderful season and is one of the strongest forwards in the nation. It is a great day for Union women's soccer.”
Three teams of 11 players are
selected for both the national and regional honors.
Cressman and Molé will receive their
awards on January 17 at the NSCAA/ADIDAS All-American luncheon in Charlotte,
