Kundun, Martin Scorsese's dramatic film about the Dali Lama of
Tibet, will be shown Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7
p.m. in the Reamer Campus Center Auditorium.

Prof. Linda Patrik will lead the
discussion.

The film is the next is this
year's series, “12 Windows: Encountering Culture Through Film.”

The remaining films in the
2003-2004 series are:

Feb. 26 — Revolution Will Not Be Televised (Prof. Daniel
Mosquera) hard-hitting documentary about recent failed coup in Venezuela
(Note: this film will be screened in Olin Auditorium)

March 4 — Buena Vista Social Club (Prof. Tim Olsen) Wim Wender's music-filled
documentary about aging Cuban greats.

Films are at 7 p.m. in the Reamer Campus Center Auditorium.

The 12 Windows series, organized
by the Hobart and William Smith and
Union College's
Partnership for Global Education, asks faculty and staff to present films that
serve as “windows” into cultures seldom represented in mainstream
media or entertainment. The goal is to present a wide survey of a varied human
