Heavenly Voices, the Union
College gospel choir, will host a
concert with other local and regional gospel ensembles on Saturday, Feb. 28,
from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in Memorial Chapel at Union
College.
The program is free and open to
the public.
Other choirs planning to perform
include the NBC Chorale and the choir of the Duryee African Methodist Episcopal
Zion Church of Schenectady, the choir of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of
Albany, and the Thomas Robinson Chorale of Springfield,
Mass.
The evening also will include a
talk on gospel music by Union Prof. Deidre Butler and a praise dance by Union
students.
A reception will follow in Old
Chapel.
