A new ceremony will recognize those
who have made a difference to the Union community on Tuesday, June 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
in Old Chapel.

The inaugural “Laws of Life/U Make
a Difference Award Ceremony” was created by a committee chaired by Melissa
Heil, coordinator of support service for international and learning disabled
students, to promote good citizenship among all members of Union's
community.

The Laws of Life essay contest
encouraged students to write about a way to improve Union's
community and their role and responsibility in creating that change.  $1,000
dollars worth of prize money will be awarded.

Awards are to be granted in the
following categories: individual, group, new initiatives, “U Turned Your Fortune
Around,” and class citizen of the year.
