Ilana Prusock '06 at the Memorial Chapel chimola

Ilana Prusock '06 is keeping the
chiming tradition alive.

Two years ago, David
Stone '06 renewed the tradition of ringing the chimes. But
when he left this fall for a year of study at the London School of Economics,
the future of the chimes looked uncertain.

Thankfully, along came Prusock, who has been
getting up to speed with some help from local chimemaster Joe Connors.

She was introduced to the chimes last summer at Middlebury College, where she took courses in Russian. Her musical training includes the trumpet and French horn.

Prusock, a native of Larchmont, N.Y., is pursuing an organizing theme major that combines Russian, anthropology and psychology. She is considering a career in international marketing.

The chiming project is made
possible by a gift from Ed Moulton '37, who played the chimes as a student and
who has returned to play them at ReUnion and Homecoming (once with Stone). Matt
Milless, director of student activities, is managing the project.
