Why i do the work i do: “It's important to preserve what is left. The only way you can do this is if you study the culture and art history of a country.”
Latest achievement: Attaining a master's in Latin American art history. “I truly gained an understanding
of the art history of Latin America, something I wanted
to do because that's where I grew up, in Costa Rica.”
Advice to students: “Try to work closely with the
professors, and learn as much as you can from them.”

Most memorable union moments:Being in Florence, Italy, with friends and Professor Freund junior year (fall 1984). “Professor Freund influenced everything
I learned in Florence.”
Most humorous union moment: “Saying the Pledge of Allegiance in my pajamas at 4 a.m. on a snowy winter morning while pledging with my Sigma Delta Tau sisters”
What inspires me to support union:
“The College is top-notch. My grandfather went
there, and he always spoke wonderfully about it.
I was particularly inspired by the way (then-)
President and Mrs. Morris spoke about the
College and life in general.”
Legacy on campus: The Stone family has established two endowed chairs and made a commitment to endow a terms abroad through gifts from the Zemurray Foundation. There also is a Roger Thayer Stone' 28 Prize awarded each year.
Hobbies: Drawing, cooking
